In 1995, I joined PAPYLESS CO., LTD., which launched Japan’s first digital book sales business.

In 2007, I launched “Renta!”, a digital manga rental site. We subsequently expanded our direct sales sites to the English-speaking world in 2011 and the Traditional Chinese market in 2014. In 2019, I established the overseas distribution subsidiary AAG to further expand our sales channels.

I assumed my current position in 2012 and am also involved in the management of our overseas subsidiaries. My motto is “Delivering fun to the world,” and my dream is to bring wonderful works to readers across the globe.

After graduating from Doshisha University in 2000, I joined Takeshobo Co., Ltd. Following my experience as an editor, I led the digital business division from the dawn of the eBook era. I served as an Executive Officer and Director, contributing to the reconstruction of the company.

I left Takeshobo in 2020. As a manga business consultant, I served as an advisor to a total of 15 companies, including publishers and bookstores.

In December 2023, I was appointed as a Director at NIHONBUNGEISHA Co.,Ltd., and I have been serving as CEO since May 2024.

I joined MEDIA DO Co., Ltd. in April 2015. Having worked in the content industry for many years, I have consistently specialized in the eBook distribution business since joining the company.

Leveraging this experience, I am currently responsible for driving the business forward, overseeing everything from strategic planning to operational management for the entire eBook distribution sector.

I served as the Director of the Tokiwaso Project starting in 2010, worked as the Secretariat for the launch of the Kyoto International Manga Anime Fair in 2012, and launched the website “Man-navi” in 2017. Throughout my career, I have been involved in numerous planning and operational roles for manga-related businesses.
In March 2024, I established the MANGA Research Institute (General Incorporated Association), which serves as the operating body for IMART (International Manga Anime Relation Trade, launched in 2019), and I took on the position of Representative Director.
Currently, I am working to develop IMART into a global manga and anime conference, while also aiming to establish an annual IP market survey for the industry.
